Lunchtime Lecture at Landmark Center

Bring a sack lunch and hear a talk by Scott Gac, Director of American Studies at Trinity College (Hartford, CT) and author of Singing for Freedom: The Hutchinson Family Singers and the Culture of Antebellum Reform.

Mr. Gac will lead us on a journey with the Hutchinson Family Singers through the pre-Civil War religious and cultural revolutions that brought together songs of social protest and commercial success for the first time in American history.
